Harris Corporation Retirees' Association Privacy Policy

The Harris Corporation Retirees' Association [Association] requires you to enter detailed contact information and L3Harris, Harris Corporation, or Radiation Incorporated [Company] employment information when you create an account to log into the site and access site content. Your contact information is controlled by the association officers (elected and appointed) identified on the site (see Association/Association Officers page) and never released outside the association.

The Association uses your contact information and Company employment information to approve site access for your account, process any subsequent membership application, provide you information through email messages, contact you about dues or other fees you have agreed to pay, provide general membership information and event notifications, add your contact information to the 'Members Interest' page (outlined below) and to provide 'Friend Search' contact information (outlined below).

Site Access/Membership Application Process:

  1. Site access as a Visitor is granted after you have completed the registration process and verified your email address (click link in auto-generated site email) with the site. Site Visitors have limited content access on the site and no other users' contact information is shared with them.
  2. Account Registration Information is reviewed to ensure your profile is complete and validate your employment history with the Company. In cases where the current Association Officers cannot personally verify your employment history, they will reach out to specific members of the association for assistance using your name and employment data.
  3. When a user's employment with the Company cannot be verified in a reasonable time, the user's account will be locked until the verification can be successfully completed.
  4. When a user's employment with the Company is successfully verified, they are given Harris Retiree access and expanded content is made available.
  5. Harris Retirees can submit Membership applications by clicking the 'Check to apply for HCRA membership' box on their profile page and saving the changes on that page. Membership access is granted after the Association receives both a Membership Application and the appropriate dues payment.

Members Interest Contact Information:

  1. Our 'Members Interest' page is restricted to members of the Association that are current on their dues.
  2. On the registration and profile page you have an opportunity to identify which of the activities/interest areas we have that you might be interested in. This function compiles a contact list of people with similar interests to allow you to get in touch with each other.
    1. By checking an activity/interest area during registration for your account or while editing your account/profile, you are giving us permission to display your name, email address, and phone number on the specific activity/interest page(s) checked.
    2. No further action will be taken by the association.

Friend Search Contact Information:

  1. Our Friend Search capability is restricted to current members that are current on their dues.
  2. You can select to release your email address to the current members when they search for you specifically or not to release any information.
    1. When you choose to release your email address and someone wants to contact you, the site will send you and the member-requesting-contact an email placing you in contact with each other.
    2. When you do not release your information and someone wants to contact you, the site will generate an email to you notifying you that a member wishes to contact you and the email will include the member-requesting-contact’s email address without revealing your contact information to anyone.
    3. No further action will be taken by the association.
